How to block and unblock people on facebook

Facebook is a great way of staying connected with the people you care about. Apart from that, it helps you in keeping up-to-date with other affairs of the world.

While it is hard to avoid a person in real life, it is quite easy to block someone on Facebook. And similarly, it is easy to unblock someone on Facebook.

Ways To Block Someone On Facebook

Blocking someone on Facebook is a huge statement. It depicts your intention of staying away from that person for the rest of your life. So, if you have a frenemy, here is how you can block them:

#1.Go to your profile by tapping on your name on the top right corner.

#2.Scroll down to your friend’s list and click on it.

#3.Find the person you want to block from there by searching his/her name in the search bar.

#4.Once you’ve found the frenemy, hover the cursor on their name until you see a small pop-up depicting their short bio.

#5.Now, click on ‘Friends.’ You’ll see a drop down box as soon as you do that.

#6.After that, click on ‘Report/Block’ to block the person and send him/her away from your e-life once and for all. If you want to be a little less harsh and unfriend someone, follow steps 1-5 and then select ‘Unfriend’ from the same drop down box.

After you click on Report/Block, you would have successfully blocked the person. However, what if over the course of time, you two get back together? What if your relationship with your frenemy begins to improve and you become good friends again? Of course, the first thing that would pop into your head would be to unblock him/her. Like we told you, Facebook is much more than just a social media platform, it is synonymous with your personal life, and your actions have the same consequences as they would in reality. How to Unblock Someone On Facebook?

Now that you feel that things are good between the two of you, it would be fine to become friends in reality and also on Facebook. But for that, you have to first unblock that person. Here’s how you can do that:

#1.Click the small padlock icon on the top right-hand side of your home screen and select ‘How do I stop someone from bothering me?’

#2.From there, select ‘View All Blocked Users.’

#3.It will take you to a page where you can find all the people you’ve blocked. Click on the ‘Unblock’ button next to the person’s name to successfully unblock them.
