Facebook Watch: Watch Live Shows On Facebook Watch – Facebook has just brought in a new method of streaming for folks in a bid to make the social media more appealing and interactive to users.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook chief executive and his team has noticed that Watching video on Facebook which is discovered through friends has the incredible power to connect people, spark conversation, and foster the community.
Currently publishers from Condé Nast to Hearst are launching shows called “Virtually Dating” on Facebook’s new video platform known as Facebook Watch, to them, they are trying to replicate the success of short, viral videos locally made.
Although Facebook recently introduced the Auto video play or Video tab, the community is now looking to structure video content in the form of “shows,” or videos that follow certain themes or storylines using the Facebook’s Watch.
The team announced in the Facebook Newsroom saying we’re introducing Watch, which they say is a new platform for Video shows on Facebook. According to the statement, Facebook Watch will be available on mobile, on desktop and laptop, and in our TV apps

Shows are made up of episodes — live or recorded — and follow a theme or storyline. To help you keep up with the shows you follow, Watch has a Watchlist so you never miss out on the latest episodes.
“Facebook Watch” is also a platform for publishers to find an audience and build an engaged user base for their shows.The question lots of people have been asking is if Uncle Mark has in mind that he wants to overcome YouTube with this his new Platform.
While this new platform appears to be fairly similar to YouTube, which has its own strong user base of 1.3 billion, Facebook’s approach to attract users is a bit different from that of YouTube.
Facebook users will be able to personalize their feeds and follow shows they like using the “Watch” much like YouTube’s channel subscription model.
